Head of Pakistan’s Supreme Court has ruled the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan Ahmed Niazi to be illegal and ordered that he be immediately released, two days after his detention on corruption allegations triggered violent protests. Supporter of former Prime Minister Imran Khan were hoping for some reprieve from their leader's legal woes. But Khan's latest conviction likely means he will be kept out of politics for some time.
